Just another hazy lazy day in SW FL.

Hope to get some good pictures of friends to add to this blog today at a birthday party for Stan's 70th. I will be taking avocado pie and maybe a special coconut drink. Looks like it will get up in the 80's today so it should be wonderful.

Sight

Today marked the end of me wearing glasses (hopefully). I had my second cataract surgery today at Center for Sight in Sarasota. It is an amazing operation and only took a little over three minutes to do the actual surgery. A lot longer sitting in waiting rooms and getting different exams. Eye drops for the next few days/weeks are the only thing to be done now. It is so nice to be able to read without reaching for glasses. A lot of people comment on the colors appearing so much more vivid. I notice that white looks a lot more white. People describe how it was done "in the old days" and I am happy that I live in the here and now. No patches, no stitches, no restrictions, no pain. Dr Shoemaker has performed this surgery over 100,000 times.

This is one of the Marsh Rabbits frequenting my yard. They seem to be quite friendly.
